Purchased this TT in spring 2016 to upgrade the 78 RPM TT (BSR P171, Cartridge; BSR SC12M) part of a ITT 5040 1970's music centre. To the AT TT I fitted the AT -MONO 3/SP moving coil pick up. not a budget purchase. Not that I was after pinching pennies i felt i'm only doing this upgrade once so get the best I could afford feeling the whole kit might out last me. I wanted supreme reproduction from my shellac discs which I'm happy to say i get. The supplied microgroove PU has yet to be used as I have a dual CS505-3 with a ortofon styli just fo 33 & 45 RPM discs the only drawback with the mono cartridge is that it has to return to A.T in Japan to be fitted with a new styli. but 78's sound very good through my yamaha RX 12 channel FM/AM/WEB radio 7:1 caperble audio visual amplifier. I recommend this product based on it's performance playing 78 RPM discs into the aforementioned amplifier via line input & via usb into my laptop PC. I retained the ITT music centre's TT as a test TT for checking repaired 78 RPM discs as I deemed it to risky to play such discs until it is known the repair was successful.
